Libraries are essential community infrastructure. Decades of local vision and volunteer energy have brought this new asset to Yachats, and it is fantastic! Pleasure to see State Librarian Wendy Cornelisen, Mayor Craig Berdie, MC David Rivinus and many others who gathered to check it out.
From there, I headed to the Yachats Commons for the District Attorney’s Town Hall. Appreciate your willingness to engage in open dialogue. Lots of questions — and that’s a good thing. DA Wallace’s presentation outlined how her team is structured and how that translates into public-safety capacity. A shared understanding of how our government systems work helps us all.
