Lincoln County Commissioner, Position 1
I’m Casey Miller, and I’ve had the privilege of serving as your Lincoln County Commissioner since January 2023.
Before that, I spent 14 years as the Board’s Public Information Officer. I was born in Newport and have spent much of my life connected to Lincoln County and its communities.
This website is where I keep you up to date on my ongoing service. I’m on the ballot again this November. Your vote does matter. Government works better when you show up.
Being a county commissioner isn’t one job. It’s several at once.
Commissioners pass the budget, act as the county’s mental health and public health authority, make land use decisions, and set policy. Often this work flows together between legislating, administering, and adjudicating.
The job requires listening to residents, studying complicated issues, overseeing public resources and making decisions openly. I believe county government should be understandable, accessible and focused on delivering the services people depend upon.
Residents, county employees and community partners often see needs and potential solutions before elected officials do. Reach out and stay engaged. I am here as your conduit to county government.

These roles help connect Lincoln County with regional services, legislative discussions, workforce development, disaster preparedness, natural-resource policy, public safety and community partnerships.
The Work Continues
I am currently serving as your Lincoln County Commissioner and am also participating in the November 2026 election.
I am seeking another term because important work remains: protecting essential services, strengthening county finances, supporting housing and local opportunity, improving emergency preparedness and making county government more transparent, stable and accountable.
I am not running to add to the noise. I am asking for the opportunity to continue doing the work.
